Mrs. Obiri – Yeboah recognize with three laurels

The Director – General of the National Road Safety Authority, Mrs. May Obiri - Yeboah, has won three awards at the nearly held Feminine Ghana Achievers Awards, Impactful Women Awards, and the Ghana Industry CEO Awards.
At the Feminine Ghana Achievers Award, her relentless contribution to the pursuit of a safer road transport system took a boost as she was crowned the “The Most Outstanding Female in Road Safety Advocacy and Awareness.”
Her selfless dedication to advancing the cause of road safety also won Mrs. Obiri-Yeboah, the Road Safety Ambassador Award at the 2020 Impactful Women Awards, which brought together women pacesetters and industry players from vital sectors of the Ghanaian economy.
Her leadership in transforming the National Road Safety Commission into an authority was equally recognized at the Ghana Industry CEO Awards which conferred a distinction on her for presiding over the authority’s transition.
A civil engineer and transport planner, Mrs. Obiri -Yeboah has over 30 years of experience in the road transport sector.
Collectively, the awards are in recognition of her towering achievements, decades long public service and transformative leadership in the road transport sector and beyond.
She has overseen a reduction in pedestrian and child crash fatalities recorded over the past years, and played a key role in the development of National Road Safety Strategies II and III.
